Note: While FFADO is preparing its first stable release and documentation work is ongoing, all the interesting stuff happens in the wiki at http://subversion.ffado.org/wiki. It should be your first point of reference. As soon as the dust is settled, the content will be moved to this manual. For now, it might be inaccurate or slightly outdated.
This manual will try to provide installation, configuration and usage instructions for the FFADO project. As end-user comfort is very important, we'll try to do this as good as we can.
Documentation however is the weak point of most open source projects, therefore we can use any help we can get. If you notice errors or outdated information, please correct it. This book is editable by any logged-in user, so the only thing you have to do is create an account on this site. The web system (Drupal) will keep track of the old versions, and your modifications will be reviewed, so don't worry about making mistakes.
Note that book pages can be commented to. If you are not sure about something that is written on the page, please post a comment. If you have a tip or some other small thing, do the same. Maybe sometime these will be picked up and put into the main book.
Documentation is the one thing that every user can actually contribute to. Therefore we would like you to do so, thereby freeing up time for the developers. This will result in FFADO having less bugs and more features.
